When you register for an operator account on the Platform, we collect and store the following information:

Account Information: Email address, callsign/display name, cryptographic password hash (PBKDF2 with SHA-512 and unique salt), creation timestamp, and last login timestamp.
Security Credentials: Two-factor authentication (TOTP) status, public avatar URL, and salted SHA-256 hashes of one-time emergency recovery codes. Plaintext passwords and unhashed recovery codes are never stored or transmitted.
Operator Activity: User-submitted commentary, news replies, bookmarked articles, and liked telemetry items.

3. Data Collection & Analytics

We use third-party analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymous metrics regarding website traffic, page views, and user interaction patterns. This telemetry helps us optimize dashboard performance, cache routing, and server load.
